Aquasplash
Thank goodness - a lifeline for Aquasplash! Or as I commented at the packed council meeting on Wednesday February 26th - a bloody-big lifebuoy has been thrown our way and we should grab it with both hands, feet and anything else we can.
Although West Somerset Council agreed last week to cease operating Aquasplash, Tone Leisure have stepped in and have declared that they believe they can make a go of the pool and the fitness suite. It is now up to those councillors still interested (myself included) to work alongside representatives of the main pool user groups and members of the public to ensure we make the most of this opportunity with Tone Leisure.
I actually believe we should keep what we have, be grateful for we've got and make the most of it. And I believe if the people show the same determination and desire as was demonstrated at the meeting last week, then Aquasplash can be saved - and not only that but actually become a success.
